Priority / Eligibility Sequence is a mechanism to manage the order in which visitors are considered for assignment to your active Campaigns.
- Priority / Eligibility Sequence can be used to instruct SiteSpect to consider some experiments before others for traffic assignment to your active Campaigns.
- Lower numbers are evaluated first.
- For non-overlay campaign sets, users who are eligible for the first priority campaigns will be assigned, and only users not eligible will be available to be assigned to the remaining campaign(s).
- A typical flow for assignment goes Priority > Audiences > Frequency > Assigned > Counted. However, this can be modified for more complex setup when using Sets, Counting Metrics or Visited URL Audience.
Priority / Eligibility Sequence Visualization
1: Evaluate audiences for the campaign with the first priority. All users who are eligible will be assigned.
2: Remaining users (not assigned to first campaign) will be evaluated for the next priority campaign.
Now we’ll switch the priority between the two campaigns and see what happens…
3: Evaluate audiences for the campaign with the first priority. All users who are eligible will be assigned.
4: All users were assigned to the first campaign, leaving no users available for the next priority campaign.
