Specifying a Date Range

You can start a Campaign in the present and let it run indefinitely or specify begin and end dates.

Note: All Campaigns start in Review mode when you create them. You must actively set a Campaign to run in order for it to start, either by manually turning it on or by using the Active - Scheduled Status.

To specify begin and end dates for a Campaign:

  1. In the General section of the page, click Yes next to the question, Would you like to specify a date range? Date and Time fields open.
  2. In the Begins field, type the date or use the calendar to select one.
  3. In the Ends field, type the date or use the calendar to select one. This field is optional. But remember that if you do not specify an Ends date, the Campaign runs indefinitely.
  4. Enter a Start Time and End Time in 24-Hour format. Time is optional.
Notes about the Begins field:
  • The date must be in the format mm/dd/yyyy.
  • The time must be in 24-hour format.
  • You cannot specify a Begins date that is in the past or that occurs after the Ends date.
  • If you select the Active-Scheduled Status, the Campaign starts automatically on the date specified.
  • You cannot set a Begins date for a Disabled Campaign.
Notes about the Ends field:
  • The date must be in the format mm/dd/yyyy.
  • The time must be in 24-hour format.
  • You cannot specify an Ends date that precedes the start date.
  • The Campaign ends automatically on the date specified.
  • If you do not specify an Ends date, the Campaign runs until you stop it manually.
  • When the Campaign ends, SiteSpect executes the End Action.
