What does a "Live" tag mean on your campaigns or components?
You may notice a "Live" notation on campaigns and certain components in SiteSpect. This tag indicates that the campaign or element is defining changes being made on live traffic. For components, changing the definition of the element will also change the definition of the campaigns where it's being used. Certain permission levels do not allow editing live elements.
What the "Live" tag means for the following components in SiteSpect:
Campaigns
- Campaigns are "Live" when they are in an active status and making changes to assigned users. Paused and Disabled campaigns are not applying changes and are not considered Live.
Global changes (site and campaign scope)
- Similarly to campaigns, site-scoped global changes are considered "Live" when they are set to active.
- Campaign-scoped global changes are considered live when set to active and included in a live campaign.
Metrics
- Personalization metrics are considered live when used as a trigger definition in active campaigns or global changes. Changing the definition of the metric will change the definition of any triggers using it.
- Metrics that are included in a campaign for reporting purposes only are not considered live. Changing their definition will change when they record data, but will not affect what changes end-users will see.
Global triggers
- Like metrics, global triggers are considered live when they are being used as a trigger definition in an active campaign or global change. Changing the definition will change the definition of any triggers using it.
Audiences
- Audiences are considered live when they are included in an active campaign. Some audience types can also be used as a trigger and will be considered live when used as a trigger definition in an active campaign or global change.
