Calculation

A Calculation is a combination of different chunks of visit data that are already gathered by SiteSpect components. Calculations allow you to create a custom measurement to track the performance of a Campaign. Calculations combine the available visit data with active Metric data that SiteSpect automatically collects during every Campaign. The Calculation Equation uses standard SQL Operators to join its components.

Visit data includes information such as Bounces, Pageviews, Start Time, and many others. Metric data includes the measurements you have selected for reporting purposes on the Data Points tab of the Metric when you created it. The visit data and Metric measurements are listed on the Add a Variable drop-down list.

You can add a Calculation to a Campaign just like a regular Metric. In addition, any time you choose a Calculation that contains data for a Metric, that Metric is automatically added to the Campaign.
