Transfer Time

Transfer Time is a Data Point for a Metric.

Transfer Time tracks the Metric's total time of transfer (in seconds) during a visit from the beginning of transfer from the source to the completion of transfer to the target.

Transfer Time is useful for measuring the affect of page size on user behavior. It can also help measure the effectiveness of optimization techniques that reduce the weight of content-heavy pages such as a Search Results page.

For example, you’ve defined a Metric that matches a Search Results page. Transfer Time tracks the total amount of time that it takes the page to download for each user who triggers the Metric. If the transfer rate increases for that page, the Transfer Time decreases.

Reports list the average Transfer Time, which means that SiteSpect calculates the total Transfer Time and divides by the number of hits to this Metric.
